An induction cooking top replaces flame or radiant heat with an electromagnetic field that heats the pan directly. When a ferromagnetic pan is placed on the ceramic surface, the field induces currents in the metal, generating heat within the pan itself. The surface stays cool to the touch, transferring energy only where the pan sits, which cuts waste and speeds response. This method eliminates open flames, reduces ambient heat in the kitchen, and allows instant changes in power without waiting for elements to warm or cool.
The operator places a compatible pan on one of the two heating zones, each controlled independently. A stepless knob adjusts the power from low simmer to full boil, with no fixed steps. The zones can be used together or separately, letting the chef manage two dishes at once or concentrate power under a single large pan. Once cooking is complete, the pan is removed and the smooth ceramic surface wipes clean without scrubbing. A removable chimney section can be taken off and washed in a commercial dishwasher, keeping grease and steam from building up.
The unit is built on a stainless steel body that resists corrosion and stands up to daily wear. Four height-adjustable round legs allow the top to be levelled on uneven floors or raised to match adjacent worktops. The front panel carries two ergonomic knobs, each controlling one of the 5 kW zones, with no digital display or additional settings.
A 10 kW power rating means the appliance draws a substantial load, requiring a dedicated circuit and professional installation. The footprint of 400 mm depth and 930 mm width fits standard worktop runs, while the 250 mm height keeps the cooking surface at a comfortable working level. The two 270 mm diameter heating zones accept most professional pans, from small saucepans to large stock pots.
Cleaning involves wiping the ceramic surface after each service and removing the chimney for dishwasher cleaning as needed. The stainless steel body can be wiped down with a damp cloth and mild detergent, with no crevices or seams to trap food debris. The adjustable legs should be checked periodically to ensure the unit remains stable.
The appliance is CE approved, confirming it meets European safety and performance standards for professional catering equipment.
