Heated cooking trolley with 2 independent cupboard door sections designed for displaying, demonstrating, storing and keeping main courses warm.
A heated cooking trolley maintains prepared dishes at serving temperature while freeing worktop space in a busy kitchen. The unit circulates warm water or steam around two gastronorm containers, ensuring even heat distribution without hot spots. This method keeps sauces, soups and braised items at a consistent temperature for hours, preventing drying or overcooking that can occur on a static hob or bain-marie. The heat source is concealed beneath the containers, so the operator works only with the food and the controls, not with open flames or exposed elements.
To use the trolley, the operator fills the two GN 1/1 wells with hot food, sets the common temperature control between 30 °C and 100 °C, and starts the heating cycle. Separate drain valves allow quick emptying of each well without tilting the trolley. Once the temperature is reached, the unit holds it automatically, so staff can concentrate on plating and service. The lower shelf provides additional storage for plates or utensils, keeping everything within reach during service.
The trolley is constructed from stainless steel throughout, including the wells, frame and bumpers. Four 125 mm castors—two with brakes—allow the unit to be moved easily between the kitchen and servery, then locked in place for safety. The bumpers protect both the trolley and surrounding equipment from knocks during transit.
A single temperature dial governs both wells, simplifying operation during peak service. The 2.1 kW power rating indicates the load on the electrical circuit, suitable for a standard 230 V single-phase supply found in most professional kitchens. The 1034 × 690 × 900 mm footprint fits through standard doorways and aligns with other gastronorm equipment, making it easy to integrate into existing layouts.
After service, the operator drains the wells, wipes down the stainless steel surfaces and removes any food debris from the castors and bumpers. The common temperature control and separate drain valves mean cleaning is straightforward, with no hidden corners where residue can accumulate.
The trolley is designed for two GN 1/1 gastronorm containers, matching the standard size used across professional catering for hot holding and transport.
