Tables

Tables for HoReCa businesses — professional dining room, bar and banquet tables for restaurants, cafés, bars and hotels across Europe. The table is the central element of a restaurant's interior, around which the guest experience is built — its shape, size, material and height influence both aesthetics and functional capacity. HoReCa tables must meet higher durability requirements than household furniture, as they are subjected to intensive daily use, frequent cleaning and various mechanical impacts. BHS offers tables as part of the HoReCa Furniture range.

The BHS range includes tables with various types of table tops and bases to suit different restaurant and café styles. We help you choose the right table size, shape and material based on the space layout and concept. Also explore other HoReCa furniture — chairs and table tops.

A table in a restaurant is the guest's personal zone during a meal — its size determines comfort, its shape influences the organisation of the room, and the surface material affects the overall interior feel. A HoReCa table is subjected to much greater stress than a household table — it must withstand weight, impacts, moisture, cleaning chemicals and temperature fluctuations. A properly chosen table lasts for years without visible wear. BHS offers tables for HoReCa businesses across Europe.

Types and uses of tables

Dining room tables — standard-height tables (72–76 cm) for restaurants and cafés with various shapes: square, rectangular, round and oval. Smaller tables (60×60 cm or ø60 cm) for compact spaces, larger ones (80×80, 70×120 cm and more) for spacious dining areas. Bar tables — high bistro or bar tables (height 90–105 cm), used with bar stools. Popular in modern bars, bistros and outdoor terraces. Banquet tables — long, rectangular tables for serving large groups, often available in foldable or height-adjustable versions. Coffee tables — lower, smaller tables (height 45–55 cm) for lounge and relaxation areas. Outdoor terrace tables — water- and UV-resistant surfaces for outdoor terraces. BHS helps you choose the table type based on its use.

Table top materials

HPL (high-pressure laminate) — the most durable commercial material for table tops. It does not absorb water, withstands heat up to +70°C, scratching and cleaning chemicals. Available in a wide range of colours and textures, imitating wood, concrete or marble. Compact laminate — an even more durable version of HPL with double-sided lamination, suitable for outdoor or intensive use. Granite or stone — a premium natural material with high durability and a prestigious appearance, ideal for upscale restaurants. Stainless steel — hygienic, durable and easy to clean, suitable for industrial-style interiors and outdoor use. Solid wood — a natural, warm material with visual appeal, requiring regular maintenance. BHS helps you choose the surface material based on the concept and intensity of use.

Bases and stability

Central bases (single leg) — a single central leg that provides free space for guests to sit. Available with various weight bases, with angle-adjustable glides or a fixed base. Metal four-leg frames — more stable than central bases, better suited for larger tables. Available in painted metal or powder-coated finishes. Adjustable-height legs — the option to adjust the table height by ±2–3 cm, allowing for uneven floors to be levelled. Stackable and foldable bases — for event and banquet tables, easy to store and transport. BHS offers various bases to suit your needs.

HoReCa use scenarios

In a fine dining restaurant, round tables ø80 cm with a marble-textured HPL surface and black metal pedestals create elegant, compact two-seater tables that match the restaurant's premium atmosphere. In a café with an industrial concept, rectangular tables with a concrete-textured HPL and metal frame complement the graphic interior. In a large company canteen, 80×80 cm square tables with an HPL surface and central leg provide a comfortable seating configuration for 4 people and easy cleaning. In a bar, high bistro tables 70 cm ø with a metal leg and HPL surface ensure comfortable seating at the bar counter.
