Coffee machine with manual control. With 2 groups
- : Magister Sistema Caffe
- Article number: BHS-EEG-LEVA-2G
A gas-powered coffee machine built for high-volume service, delivering espresso through two independent brew groups. The unit burns gas to heat a copper boiler, generating the steam and hot water needed for extraction and milk frothing. Because the boiler is directly fired, it reaches working temperature quickly and maintains pressure without relying on electrical elements alone, making it suitable for kitchens with heavy demand or variable power supply.
The machine operates on a lever-activated mechanical group for each head. The barista pulls the lever to open the valve, allowing pressurised hot water to flow through the coffee puck. This manual control gives tactile feedback on extraction pressure and lets the operator adjust flow rate mid-shot, a feature valued in specialty coffee preparation. Two steam wands mounted on the front panel allow simultaneous milk texturing, while a separate hot water dispenser provides water for tea or Americanos without interfering with espresso service.
To prepare a drink, the operator fills the portafilter with ground coffee, locks it into the group, and pulls the lever to start extraction. Steam is drawn by opening the wand valve, and hot water is dispensed via a dedicated tap. The electronic boiler level control maintains water volume, and a sight glass lets staff check the level at a glance. An anti-vacuum valve on the boiler prevents collapse when the machine cools, protecting the copper chamber from damage.
The body is constructed from polished stainless steel, chosen for durability and ease of cleaning in a busy kitchen. The boiler itself is made of copper, which conducts heat efficiently and resists corrosion from water and steam. The machine stands on adjustable feet, allowing it to be levelled on uneven worktops.
Controls include the mechanical levers for each brew group, steam wand valves, and the hot water tap. The electronic level control operates automatically, refilling the boiler as needed without manual intervention.
A 13.5 litre boiler volume supports continuous service for two groups, reducing the need for frequent refills during peak hours. The power rating of 2.7 to 4.5 kW reflects the gas burner's output, not an electrical load, so the machine can be installed on a standard gas line without requiring high-capacity electrical circuits. The voltage range of 110-220/240 V accommodates ignition and control systems across different regions, but the primary heating source remains gas. At 87 kg, the unit is heavy enough to remain stable on a worktop but can be moved with a trolley for installation or servicing. The footprint of 795 by 535 mm fits on most commercial counters while leaving space for cups and accessories.
Cleaning involves daily purging of the steam wands to clear milk residue, backflushing the brew groups with a blind basket and detergent, and wiping down the stainless steel surfaces. The copper boiler should be descaled periodically, following the manufacturer's programme to prevent scale build-up from hard water. The sight glass and anti-vacuum valve require occasional inspection to ensure they are clear and functioning.
This model is available in a two-group configuration only, with no variants for additional groups or alternative power sources.
The machine is categorised under professional espresso equipment in the Magister Sistema Caffe range.
