Heated cooking trolley with 3 independent cupboard door sections designed for displaying, demonstrating, storing and keeping main courses warm.
A heated cooking trolley keeps prepared food at serving temperature without drying or overcooking. Three independent water-filled baths hold gastronorm containers level with the worktop. Each bath is heated by an electric element beneath the stainless-steel liner. The heat transfers into the water, which circulates naturally around the container, surrounding the food with gentle, even warmth. This method prevents hot spots and keeps sauces, soups and stews at the exact temperature set for each bath.
To use the trolley, fill each bath with water to the marked level. Place GN 1/1 containers into the three wells. Close the cupboard doors to retain heat. Set the desired temperature for each bath using the separate controls on the front panel. The unit heats the water until the chosen temperature is reached, then cycles the elements to maintain it. Water drains through individual valves at the base of each bath, allowing quick emptying and cleaning.
The trolley is built from stainless steel throughout, including the cupboard, worktop and bath liners. Four 125 mm castors—two with brakes—allow the unit to be moved between kitchen and servery and locked in place. Bumpers along the base protect the trolley and surrounding equipment from knocks during transit.
The 3.15 kW power rating indicates the load on a single-phase 230 V circuit. The temperature range of 30 °C to 100 °C covers holding, proofing and light reheating, but not boiling or rapid cooking. The 1340 × 690 × 900 mm footprint fits through standard kitchen doorways and aligns with worktop heights for easy transfer of containers.
After service, empty each bath through the drain valves. Wipe the stainless-steel surfaces with a damp cloth and mild detergent. The cupboard interior and worktop can be cleaned the same way. Regular draining and refilling of the water prevents scale build-up in the baths.
The trolley is supplied as a single unit with three GN 1/1 baths and separate temperature controls for each. It is listed in the BHS-G professional catering catalogue under heated holding and transport equipment.
