A gas cooking top concentrates high heat directly under pots and pans through controlled gas burners. Gas flames transfer energy instantly, allowing rapid temperature adjustment for searing, boiling or simmering. The burners remain lit on standby, ready to resume full power without delay, which keeps service continuous during peak hours.
The operator places cookware on the cast-iron pan supports above each burner. Knobs set the gas flow, adjusting flame size and heat output. A pilot burner maintains a small flame that ignites the main burner when the knob is turned, eliminating the need for manual ignition. If the flame extinguishes accidentally, the anti-outflow protection cuts the gas supply automatically, preventing leaks.
The pressed stainless steel top is formed from a single sheet, eliminating seams where food or grease could collect. Rounded edges and corners allow cloths or scrapers to reach every surface without catching. Each burner has its own sealed housing, protecting the flame from spills and draughts. The removable chimney can be detached and washed in a commercial dishwasher, reducing downtime for cleaning.
The cooking top measures 1200 mm wide, 930 mm deep and 250 mm high, fitting standard worktop cut-outs and modular kitchen layouts. The 53.7 kW total output is distributed across six burners: three at 7.9 kW and three at 10 kW, providing a range of heat intensities for different cooking tasks. The hair-joint connection system creates a smooth, gap-free link between adjacent GORT LINE 900 units, allowing multiple tops to be joined into a continuous cooking surface.
Cleaning involves wiping the stainless steel top, removing and washing the pan supports and chimney, and brushing out burner ports to prevent clogging. The sealed burners reduce the risk of food debris entering the gas jets, simplifying maintenance.
The appliance is supplied for a specific gas type; the order must specify whether the installation uses G20, G25, G25.3, G2.350, G27 or G30/G31.
