Steam boiling pan: Body made of high quality stainless steel.
This BHS-G steam pot, article GK315000-120KN, is designed for professional kitchens.
Steam pots operate by heating food within a jacketed vessel. Water is introduced into the space between the inner cooking tank and the outer shell (the jacket). This water is heated to produce steam, which then circulates around the cooking tank, transferring heat directly to the food. This method allows for even cooking and temperature control.
To use the steam pot, the cooking tank is filled with ingredients. The unit is then brought up to pressure. The supply steam temperature is 110 °C. The working pressure in the water jacket is 0.5 bar, generating a saturated steam pressure between 0.04 and 0.043 MPa. The maximum food level is indicated within the pan. A high chimney is fitted. Once cooking is complete, the contents can be drained through the 2-inch drain valve. The worktop water drain has a diameter of 30 mm.
The construction features a body made of stainless steel. The cooking tank bottom is crafted from polished AISI 316 stainless steel. A pressed balanced lid is included. For safety, the unit is equipped with a safety valve and a pressure valve with a pressure gauge. Height-adjustable round stainless steel legs provide stability and allow for levelling. The steam connection is G1¼″, and there is a condensate connection G½″.
The volume of the cooking tank is 455 litres. The external dimensions are 1200 mm in length, 1300 mm in width, and 1100 mm in height.
Cleaning involves the drain valve and the worktop water drain. The stainless steel surfaces can be maintained as per standard practice for catering equipment.
This model is listed in the catalogue under steam kettles.
