Refrigerated base with drawers is recognised by users in many countries mainly due to its reliability, aesthetics and robust construction. It is an excellent solution for commercial kitchens. The appliance is used for refrigerated storage of food in GN2/3 containers. The storage time depends on the type of product. r
A refrigerated counter keeps prepared ingredients chilled at serving height while organising them in gastronorm containers. The unit circulates cold air with a fan, pulling heat from the food and expelling it through a condenser. This forced-air method cools the entire chamber evenly, preventing warm spots that could spoil food during service.
The operator loads GN2/3 trays onto removable guides, sets the digital display between +2 °C and +10 °C, and closes the four solid stainless-steel doors. Automatic defrosting and condensate drainage run without intervention, while manual defrosting can be started for deeper cleaning. The adjustable legs level the counter on uneven floors, and the 40 mm worktop with a 50 mm rear edge holds trays securely during plating.
The body is constructed from AISI 304 stainless steel, including the removable guides and height-adjustable legs. Magnetic door seals keep the cold in and are easily removed for cleaning. The refrigerant R290 circulates through the system, and the 0.55 kW compressor maintains the set temperature.
The 230 V power requirement matches a standard single-phase kitchen circuit, while the 2310 mm width and 600 mm depth fit against a worktop or wall. The 500 L volume holds multiple GN2/3 containers, and the 850 mm height allows staff to reach ingredients without bending.
Cleaning involves removing the guides and door seals, wiping down the chamber and worktop, and checking the condensate drain for blockages. The forced-air system requires occasional vacuuming of the condenser coils to maintain efficiency.
The counter is designed for GN2/3 gastronorm containers, standardising storage across professional kitchens. It is categorised under refrigerated counters in the BHS-G catalogue.
