| NOTES | Hollow ice cube 20g; Cooling system – AIR or WATER (Art.51391U) |
PS series ice makers, fully manufactured from stainless steel, are equipped with a built-in storage bin and provide high ice production capacity.
Cooling system – water or air.
Hollow ice cube 20 gr
An ice maker that produces hollow, slow-melting cubes keeps drinks clear and displays food at its best. The PS82 A/W from ICE TECH forms each cube around a set of vertical evaporator fingers. As water freezes on the fingers, it creates a hollow centre that reduces weight without losing strength. The machine draws water from its internal reservoir, circulates it over the cold evaporator fingers and freezes it in layers. Once the cube reaches the programmed thickness, a brief heating cycle loosens it from the fingers and the cube drops into the storage container below. The cycle repeats automatically, building a steady supply of uniform 20 g cubes throughout the day. A single power switch starts the process; a float valve maintains the water level and a thermostat controls the freezing temperature. To operate the PS82 A/W, connect the water supply if using water cooling, plug the unit into a 230 V single-phase circuit and switch on. The machine fills its reservoir, begins freezing and continues until the 37 kg container is full or the power is turned off. A transparent lid lets staff check the ice level without opening the unit, while an internal light illuminates the cubes for better presentation. The cabinet is constructed from stainless steel with an aluminium evaporator and a plastic storage container. The natural refrigerant quietly chills the evaporator fingers without corroding them, so the ice stays clear and the machine runs for years in a busy bar. Two cooling options are available: air-cooled for locations with good ventilation, or water-cooled for tighter spaces where heat must be removed via a continuous water flow. The same model number covers both variants, identified by the article suffix A for air and W for water. Controls consist of a main power rocker switch on the front panel and an internal thermostat accessible behind a small service door. The switch starts and stops the entire cycle; the thermostat sets the freezing point to match ambient conditions and water hardness. A daily output of 83 to 88 kg means the machine can supply a busy bar or small hotel breakfast service without interruption. The 37 kg storage container holds roughly half a day's production, so staff can collect ice in the morning and again in the afternoon. The 60 kg weight allows two people to move the unit on a trolley, while the 673 mm width fits through standard doorways and under most worktops. A 230 V single-phase supply is standard in British commercial kitchens, so no special wiring is required. Cleaning follows from the parts named: the water reservoir and evaporator fingers must be descaled monthly with a food-safe acid solution to prevent limescale build-up, especially in hard-water areas. The storage container lifts out for washing in warm soapy water, and the exterior stainless steel can be wiped down with a damp cloth. The PS82 A/W is offered in two cooling variants: air-cooled (article 51390U) and water-cooled (article 51391U). Both share the same footprint, capacity and controls.
