ICE TECH SC COMPACT ice makers produce dry flake ice. Thanks to the flat flakes, the ice evenly covers products and maintains the required temperature for a long time. These ice generators are ideal for a wide range of industries. ICE TECH SC COMPACT models already include a built-in compressor and condenser, making them fully autonomous units. Simply connect water and electricity, and the machine is ready to operate.
Ice flakes.
An ice maker that produces cold, dry flake ice continuously without an external refrigeration system. The SC400 COMPACT generates flat flakes of adjustable thickness between 1.5 mm and 3 mm, which cool products rapidly, maintain stable temperatures and present food attractively.
The machine operates by circulating refrigerant through a built-in compressor and condenser. Water is pumped over a rotating evaporator drum, where it freezes into a thin layer. A direct-drive gear motor scrapes the ice from the drum, breaking it into flakes that fall through a 480 mm exit into a storage bin. The process runs automatically once water and electricity are connected, making the unit fully autonomous for professional environments.
To start production, connect the water supply and plug the unit into a 400 V three-phase circuit. The electronic control panel allows the operator to set the desired ice thickness. A magnetic water pump draws water from the reservoir, while sensors monitor water level, motor load and bin capacity. If the water level drops too low or the bin becomes full, the machine stops production to prevent damage or overflow. The stainless steel base supports the weight of the compressor, condenser and drum, ensuring stability during continuous operation.
The 2.2 kW power rating indicates the load on the electrical supply, requiring a dedicated three-phase circuit. The 400 kg daily capacity means the unit can supply ice for multiple display counters, processing lines or cold rooms without interruption. The 160 kg weight reflects the mass of the compressor, condenser and stainless steel components, which must be placed on a level, load-bearing surface. The footprint of 1100 mm by 700 mm by 760 mm determines the space required in a kitchen, supermarket back room or production area.
Cleaning involves removing the ice bin and wiping the stainless steel base and evaporator drum with a damp cloth. The water reservoir should be emptied and rinsed weekly to prevent mineral build-up. The magnetic water pump and sensors require no lubrication, but the control panel should be kept dry to avoid electrical faults. The direct-drive gear motor is sealed and does not need regular maintenance beyond visual inspection for wear.
The SC400 COMPACT is a standalone model in the SC Compact series, designed for locations where quick installation and easy connection are priorities. It is particularly suited to fish and seafood processing, supermarkets, industrial production, cold rooms, restaurants, and laboratories.
This unit is categorised under professional ice makers in the catalogue, offering a fully autonomous solution for businesses requiring continuous ice production without complex technical infrastructure.
