Ice machines up to 120 kg/24h
A chlorine filter removes sediment and chlorine from water before it reaches taps, combi ovens, ice machines or beverage dispensers. The filter contains a replaceable cartridge packed with activated carbon and a 5-micron sediment screen. As water passes through the cartridge, chlorine molecules bind to the carbon while particles larger than five millionths of a metre are trapped. This process protects downstream appliances from scale and corrosion, extends their service life and improves the taste and odour of hot drinks, ice and cooking water.
Installation is inline: the filter connects between the incoming water supply and the appliance or manifold. The housing is threaded to match standard water-line fittings, so no special tools are needed. Once fitted, the filter runs continuously; there are no controls to set. Flow rate is determined by the incoming pressure and the cartridge condition, so the operator simply replaces the cartridge when water flow noticeably slows.
The housing is made of food-grade plastic that resists chlorine and hot water. A transparent bowl lets the operator inspect the cartridge without disassembly. The 5-micron rating means the filter captures fine sediment that would otherwise clog nozzles in combi ovens or ice machines, while still allowing sufficient flow for a busy kitchen.
Maintenance is limited to cartridge replacement. The transparent bowl shows when the carbon is exhausted or the screen is clogged, so the operator can change the cartridge before performance drops. No back-flushing or chemical cleaning is required.
The ICE TECH Chlorine Filter FA is catalogued under water treatment for professional catering equipment.
