Ice machines from 340kg/24h
An insurice filter intercepts water before it enters an ice machine, trapping microscopic particles that would otherwise build up as scale or cloud the ice. The filter contains a dense medium calibrated to 0.5 microns, fine enough to capture sediment, rust and organic matter that municipal supplies or private wells may carry. By removing these contaminants, the filter protects the machine's internal surfaces, extends the interval between descaling cycles, and keeps the ice clear and odour-free.
Water flows through the inlet, passes under pressure through the filter medium, and exits through the outlet. As the medium collects debris, the flow rate gradually drops; when the drop becomes noticeable, the operator replaces the cartridge rather than back-flushing it. This single-pass design ensures that every litre of water is filtered once, leaving no chance for trapped particles to re-enter the stream.
The ICE TECH 7603 filter is constructed as a disposable cartridge. The housing is not supplied with the filter; it is a permanent part of the ice machine or a separate bracket that the machine manufacturer specifies. Installation is a push-fit into the bracket or housing, followed by a quarter-turn to lock. No tools are required, and the change takes less than a minute once the water supply is isolated.
A 0.5-micron rating means the filter can remove particles down to half a thousandth of a millimetre. This level of filtration is sufficient to block the majority of suspended solids found in typical mains water, reducing the risk of clogged nozzles, damaged pumps and cloudy ice.
The filter is a consumable item and must be replaced at intervals determined by local water quality and machine usage. No cleaning is possible; once the medium is saturated, the entire cartridge is discarded and a new one fitted.
The ICE TECH 7603 is a spare part for ice machines that use the standard insurice filter housing. It is listed in the catalogue under Water Treatment & Filtration, Ice Machine Accessories.
