The ICE TECH GR series ice maker, manufactured from durable stainless steel, produces naturally shaped granular ice, providing an optimal solution for preserving product freshness over a longer period of time. It is suitable for a wide range of applications – fresh food displays in supermarkets, restaurants, seafood storage, as well as use in laboratories, healthcare, and other industries.
Cooling system – water or air.
Granular ice.
Water is circulated over a chilled evaporator plate, freezing into thin layers that are scraped off as fine granules. These collect in the built-in storage container. With roughly 25% residual water, the ice adheres to fruit, seafood, and cocktail garnishes, preserving freshness and appearance under bright lights or in chilled cabinets.
Operation begins by connecting the water supply, plugging the machine into a 230 V single-phase socket, and switching it on. Ice production starts immediately, with a sensor monitoring the container. Once the 64 kg capacity is reached, the machine pauses until ice is removed, then resumes automatically to maintain a steady supply.
The GR185C A/W features a stainless-steel evaporator and a compact scroll compressor. Refrigerant R290 circulates through copper coils, transferring heat to the surrounding air or, if specified, to a separate water circuit. The exterior is made of durable powder-coated steel. A hinged front door provides access to the storage container and evaporator for routine cleaning.
Controls are simple: a single on/off switch and a status LED. The LED remains steady during normal operation and flashes if the container is full or the water supply is interrupted.
With a daily output of 178-182 kg, the machine suits medium-sized restaurants or busy bars without risk of running empty during peak hours. The 75 kg weight allows two staff to move the unit easily, while its 515 × 550 mm footprint fits under most worktops or on a sturdy shelf. The 1355 mm height clears standard doorways but may need disassembly for tight spaces.
Cleaning involves emptying the container, brushing the evaporator, and rinsing the water circuit with a descaling solution. The air filter, if present, should be cleaned weekly to maintain cooling efficiency. No tools are required for daily maintenance.
Two cooling options are available: air-cooled (standard) or water-cooled (article 50101U).
This model sits in the professional ice-making range, bridging compact under-counter units and larger modular systems.
