Automatic machine with volumetric dosage. With 3 groups. Electronic model
- : Magister Sistema Caffe
- Article number: BHS-DELTA-ESD-3G
A three-group espresso machine built for high-volume service, the DELTA ESD distributes pressure evenly across every portafilter while keeping water temperature stable under load. The inbuilt volumetric pump draws water through a balanced by-pass, ensuring each shot receives the same flow rate regardless of how many groups are active. A 17 L boiler holds enough water for continuous brewing, and the electronic control system adjusts heating elements to compensate for sudden demand, preventing temperature drop during peak service.
Operation begins with the touch panels: each group has its own six-key interface back-lit in white LED. The operator selects one of four preset doses or presses the continuous button for manual flow. Pre-infusion, adjustable through the display, softens the coffee puck before full pressure is applied, improving extraction consistency. The machine learns from each cycle, refining dose times automatically. Hot water delivery is timed via the same interface, and a mixer tap blends incoming water to the set temperature before dispensing.
Two steam wands, each with a cool-touch Teflon insert and rubber grip, allow simultaneous milk texturing. The wands are mounted on the right side of the polished steel body, while the hot water spout sits to the left. Porta-filters use Magister OEM handles with insulated grips, reducing heat transfer to the barista's hands. LED indicators above each group show active brewing, and additional lights illuminate the worktop for precision dosing.
The boiler's temperature and water level are displayed on an OLED screen, along with a chrono-function timer for each group. Maintenance alerts and fault codes appear here, triggered by the machine's self-monitoring system. Programmable on/off cycles, boiler temperature, pre-infusion duration, and alarm thresholds are set via four buttons beneath the display. A switching power unit stabilises voltage fluctuations, protecting the electronics from surges common in commercial kitchens.
Construction combines a stainless steel frame with polyurethane side panels, reducing weight while maintaining rigidity. The unit measures 1070 mm wide, 535 mm deep, and 500 mm high, fitting standard worktop depths. At 88 kg, the machine requires a sturdy counter and is typically moved on a trolley. The 5.4 kW power draw demands a dedicated 220/240 V circuit, sized to handle the load without tripping breakers during simultaneous operation of all groups and steam wands.
Cleaning follows the components named: the steam wands are purged after each use to clear milk residue, and the Teflon inserts are wiped to prevent build-up. Porta-filters and baskets are rinsed and brushed daily, while the group heads are back-flushed with a blind basket and cleaning tablets. The boiler's level sensor and heating elements require descaling at intervals shown on the OLED display. Touch panels are cleaned with a damp microfibre cloth to avoid scratching the LED surfaces.
Two versions are available: standard height and “Tall-Cup,” which raises the group heads to accommodate larger vessels without modifying the footprint or power requirements.
