Electric range with a ceramic cooking surface (750 × 770 mm) and fixing system.
A ceramic cooktop heats by passing electric current through coiled elements beneath a smooth glass surface. The elements glow red-hot, transferring heat directly to pots and pans without open flames or gas jets. Because the glass stays cool at the edges, the cooking zones are clearly marked, and spills do not burn on instantly. The cooktop retains heat after the elements are switched off, so residual-heat indicators light to show which zones are still hot enough to continue cooking or to pose a burn risk.
To use the LOTUS PCCT-98ET, place the cookware on the chosen zone, turn the control knob to the desired power level, and the element begins to heat. Each zone has its own knob, so four dishes can be cooked at once. When the knob is turned to zero, the element switches off, but the residual-heat light remains on until the zone cools. The built-in temperature limiter prevents overheating, and the IPX5-rated knobs resist water splashes during cleaning.
The cooktop is built from 18/10 grade AISI 304 stainless steel, satin-finished with Scotch-Brite for a non-reflective work surface. The 2 mm thick glass ceramic top has rounded edges and a raised rim to contain spills. Chrome-plated trim and adjustable feet complete the construction, allowing the unit to sit level on uneven floors. A locking system secures the feet once the height is set.
The 12.8 kW power rating requires a three-phase 400 V supply, the standard for professional kitchens where multiple high-power appliances run simultaneously. The 70 kg weight means the unit is moved with a trolley or by two people, and the 800 mm width fits a standard 90 cm worktop cut-out. The 900 mm depth leaves room for splashbacks and utensils behind the cooktop.
Cleaning involves wiping the glass surface with a damp cloth once it has cooled, using non-abrasive cleaners to avoid scratching. The stainless steel frame is wiped down with a mild detergent, and the water-resistant knobs can be rinsed under a tap. The adjustable feet should be checked periodically to ensure the cooktop remains level.
The PCCT-98ET is a single model with four cooking zones, no additional variants or configurations. It is listed in the professional cooktops section of the catalogue, designed for commercial kitchens and catering environments.
