Electric cooktop with 2 cast iron hotplates, featuring a stainless steel construction and a locking system.
It is part of the electric stoves and electric stove tops range.
An electric hob operates by passing an electric current through heating elements located beneath the cooking surface. These elements heat up, transferring thermal energy to the cookware placed on top. Each hotplate is equipped with a selector switch that allows the user to choose from seven distinct power settings, enabling precise control over cooking temperatures. A temperature limiter is also incorporated for safety.
Operation involves placing cookware on the hotplates and selecting the desired power level using the control knobs. Once cooking is complete, the controls are turned to the off position.
Constructed from CrNi stainless steel, the hob offers durability and a hygienic surface. It features an 18/10 stainless steel finish for the worktop, which is 1 mm thick and presents a Scotch-Brite satin finish. Rounded edges and chrome-plated components contribute to its design and ease of cleaning. A splash guard is included to protect the surrounding area. The control knobs are rated IPX5 for water resistance, offering protection against water splashes.
The hob is fitted with adjustable feet, allowing for levelling on uneven surfaces, and incorporates a locking system for stability.
The power rating of 3 kW indicates the maximum electrical load the hob will draw when operating at full capacity. The dimensions of 300 mm in length, 600 mm in width, and 280 mm in height specify the unit's footprint and vertical space requirements. A weight of 16 kg provides an indication of its mass for handling and installation. The operating voltage is 230 V, which is standard for many electrical installations.
Cleaning typically involves wiping down the stainless steel surfaces and hotplates when cool. The materials used are generally easy to maintain with standard kitchen cleaning agents.
