- : Magister Sistema Caffe
- Article number: BHS-KAPPA-ES100
A commercial espresso machine built for high-volume service, the Magister Sistema Caffe ES100 delivers consistent shots across two independent brew groups. The machine heats water in an 11-litre pressurised boiler, maintaining temperature and pressure for extraction while separate thermoblocks or heat exchangers supply steam for milk texturing. Dual steam wands allow baristas to work simultaneously, reducing wait times during peak service.
Water is drawn through a built-in volumetric pump that balances pressure to ensure even flow through the coffee puck. The electronic auto-fill system monitors water levels and refills the boiler automatically, preventing dry operation and maintaining steady performance. A safety thermostat cuts power if the temperature exceeds safe limits, protecting both the machine and the operator.
Operation begins by programming the volumetric touch pads, which control shot volume from 0 to 3000 cc per group. Each group offers four preset doses plus a continuous brewing mode, allowing customisation for different coffee styles. The programmable hot water dispenser delivers precise volumes for tea or Americanos without manual measurement. Once set, the barista loads the portafilter, starts the extraction, and monitors the shot time and volume on the digital display.
The machine's body is constructed from AISI 304 mirror-polished stainless steel, chosen for its resistance to corrosion and ease of cleaning in a busy kitchen. The inbuilt pump and electronic controls are housed within the stainless steel chassis, while the front panel features illuminated touch pads for visibility under low lighting. Dual steam wands with articulated joints provide flexibility for different milk pitchers and techniques.
Controls include volumetric touch pads for each brew group, a programmable hot water dispenser, and an electronic auto-fill system. The touch pads set extraction volume, while the hot water dispenser can be programmed for specific volumes or used in manual mode. The auto-fill system operates silently in the background, ensuring the boiler remains at the correct level without manual intervention.
An 11-litre boiler provides sufficient capacity for continuous service without frequent refilling, while a 4.5 kW power rating indicates the load it places on the electrical supply. The machine requires a 220/240 V circuit, typical for commercial kitchens, and its 72 kg weight ensures stability during operation but may require two people for installation. The footprint of 795 x 535 x 500 mm fits standard worktops while allowing space for cups and accessories.
Cleaning involves daily purging of the steam wands to prevent milk residue build-up, backflushing the brew groups with a blind basket and cleaning solution, and wiping down the stainless steel surfaces with a damp cloth. The mirror-polished finish resists staining but benefits from regular polishing to maintain its appearance. The auto-fill system includes a filter that should be checked and replaced according to the manufacturer's schedule.
The ES100 is available in electronic and semi-electronic versions, as well as a High Group configuration for taller cups up to 185 mm. Two- and three-group models are also offered for larger operations.
Designed for professional coffee service, the ES100 is categorised under commercial espresso machines in the Magister Sistema Caffe range.
