The Magister F2006HP 3GROUPS, article BHS-F2006HP-3G, is a professional coffee machine from Magister Sistema Caffe.

This machine operates by heating water in a large boiler to provide hot water and steam for coffee brewing and other beverages. Each of its three brewing groups is independently heated, with individual coffee boilers each having a 400 cc capacity. The machine uses solenoid valves and an inbuilt volumetric pump with a balanced by-pass to control the flow of water for espresso extraction. An electronic cup warmer helps maintain beverage temperature. The heating element is designed to engage only when the boiler is full, and electronic boiler temperature control (PID) maintains a consistent temperature.

Operation begins with the user preparing coffee grounds and placing them in the portafilter. The portafilter is then locked into one of the three brewing groups. Using the back-lit touch screens, the operator can select a pre-programmed coffee dosage or adjust it as needed. The machine then dispenses the hot water through the coffee grounds at a controlled temperature and pressure. The machine also features a hot water dispenser with programmable dosage and temperature. Steam wands are provided for frothing milk, and these are designed with cool-touch inserts.

Construction includes a body made from AISI 304 – 18/8 polished stainless steel. It features touch panels framed in silver 99 plating and a Magister Logo on the back panel that is LED-lit. Chrome feet support the unit. This is a High Group version, accommodating cups up to 185 mm in height.

Controls are managed via touch screens. These interfaces allow for programmable on/off cycles, setting a digital clock, adjusting coffee dosage, checking the boiler level, selecting display language, viewing an alarm list, and monitoring coffee and hot water counters. Each group head has a group temperature display and a shot timer. The machine also offers an automatic back flush programme.

The 4.5 kW power rating indicates the electrical load the machine places on the supply. The dimensions of 1010 mm in length, 560 mm in width, and 580 mm in height define its footprint. The 240 V voltage specifies the electrical requirement. Weighing 103 kg, the machine is a substantial piece of equipment.

Maintenance features include an automatic back flush programme, a periodical maintenance programme, and a softener regeneration programme. Electronic water level control with a safety system prevents operation when the boiler is low on water.

This machine includes electronic independent disabling of brewing groups and a stand-by mode for power saving, further enhanced by a power saving mode when the unit is in stand-by. It also features electronics with a switching power unit and solenoid valves rated at 24 V.
