Construction made of stainless steel
A bar cooler built for front-of-house display keeps bottled and canned drinks chilled without breaking the line of sight. Six glass-fronted drawers slide open at waist height, so customers or staff can see and reach the contents without bending or lifting a door. The drawers are organised in three pairs, each pair forming a single refrigerated compartment with its own adjustable grid and two bottle bars in the upper drawers to hold bottles upright.
The unit cools by forced air, driven by a fan that circulates cold air evenly across every drawer. An evaporator with an anti-corrosion coating removes heat from the air, while an automatic drip evaporation system collects and evaporates condensation without manual intervention. The cooling cycle can be defrosted either automatically or manually, clearing ice build-up without interrupting service. The refrigerant is R290, a hydrocarbon chosen for its low environmental impact and efficient cooling performance.
To operate the cooler, set the digital control to the desired temperature between +2 and +16 °C. The display shows the current internal temperature, allowing precise monitoring. The unit is designed to maintain its set temperature in ambient conditions up to +30 °C, making it suitable for busy bar environments where room temperature fluctuates. Once loaded, the drawers remain sealed by magnetic gaskets, ensuring consistent cooling and energy efficiency.
The construction is built for durability and ease of maintenance. The refrigeration unit slides out on rails, allowing quick access to the compressor and condenser without moving the entire unit. The compressor compartment has its own door for additional convenience. Polyurethane insulation, 35 to 50 mm thick, minimises heat transfer and reduces energy consumption. The base slides can be removed for cleaning or relocation, and the height-adjustable grids can be repositioned to accommodate different bottle or can sizes.
The cooler runs on a 230 V supply, drawing 0.45 kW of power, which is typical for a unit of this size and cooling capacity. The 237-litre volume provides ample storage for drinks while keeping the footprint compact at 2002 mm wide, 522 mm deep, and 850 mm high. LED lighting inside the drawers ensures the contents are clearly visible, enhancing presentation and making it easier to locate specific items.
Cleaning and upkeep are straightforward. The magnetic drawer seals can be removed for washing, and the grids can be taken out to clean the interior. The slide-out refrigeration unit simplifies access to the condenser and evaporator, reducing downtime during maintenance. The anti-corrosion coating on the evaporator extends its lifespan, while the automatic defrost system reduces the need for manual intervention.
The cooler is designed for professional bar settings, where accessibility, presentation, and reliability are critical. The combination of glass drawers, LED lighting, and adjustable shelving makes it a practical choice for displaying drinks while maintaining optimal cooling performance.
