A bar cooler keeps bottled and canned drinks at serving temperature without ice, using a refrigeration cycle that pulls heat from the interior and expels it at the back. Forced air moves across the evaporator, cooling the air before it circulates through the drawers, so every bottle reaches the same temperature quickly and stays there without fluctuation. The cycle repeats automatically, adjusting the compressor and fans to maintain the set range while ambient temperatures rise to a working kitchen's warmth.

The operator loads bottles into the two upper drawers, which each hold a pair of horizontal bars to keep them secure, and cans or mixers into the lower drawers. The digital control on the front panel is set to the desired temperature between +2 and +16 °C; the display shows the current reading. LED lighting inside the glass drawers illuminates the contents without adding heat, so labels are visible and the cooler can be used as a back-bar display. When the door is opened, the fans pause to prevent cold air spilling out, then restart once the drawers are closed.

The cabinet is built from pre-coated steel with a polyurethane insulation layer 35 to 50 mm thick, sealing the interior from ambient heat. The evaporator has an anti-corrosion coating, and the refrigerant is R290, which has a low environmental impact. Condensation from the cooling cycle drips into a tray beneath the evaporator and evaporates automatically, so no manual draining is needed. The compressor and condenser are housed in a separate compartment at the base, accessed by a hinged door for quick cleaning or servicing. The entire refrigeration module slides out on rails, allowing the unit to be pulled forward for maintenance without moving the cooler from its position.

Each drawer has a magnetic seal that can be removed for cleaning, and the base slides can be taken out to level the unit on uneven flooring. The height-adjustable grids inside the drawers can be repositioned to fit taller bottles or cans. The cooler runs on a 230 V single-phase supply, drawing 0.45 kW, which is a standard load for a commercial circuit. Its footprint of 1451 mm wide by 522 mm deep fits beneath most bar counters, and the 850 mm height allows bottles to be reached without stooping.

Cleaning involves wiping the glass drawers and interior surfaces with a damp cloth, removing the magnetic seals to wash them separately, and vacuuming the condenser coils through the access door. The slide-out refrigeration module can be pulled forward to reach the drip tray and evaporator for deeper cleaning. The unit offers automatic and manual fan defrost options, so ice build-up can be cleared without switching the cooler off.
