Free standing bain marie on hot cupboard designed for displaying, demonstrating, storing and keeping main courses warm.
A free standing bain marie holds three gastronorm 1/1 containers in water baths that keep food at serving temperature without drying or burning. The water transfers heat evenly from electric elements to the containers, preventing hot spots and maintaining moisture in sauces, soups or delicate dishes. This method is gentler than direct heat and allows food to be held for service without further cooking.
The operator fills each bath with water to the marked level, then sets the desired temperature on the separate control for each section. Once the water reaches the set point, the containers are lowered into the baths. The unit maintains the temperature until the food is needed, at which point the containers are lifted out. Drain valves let the water be emptied after service or for cleaning.
The bain marie is built from stainless steel for hygiene and durability. A cupboard beneath the baths provides storage for utensils, lids or cleaning supplies.
The 3 kW power rating indicates the load on the electrical circuit. The 230 V requirement matches a standard single-phase supply found in most professional kitchens. The temperature range of 30 °C to 100 °C covers holding for most hot foods and allows for gentle reheating if needed. The footprint of 1080 mm by 700 mm fits into a standard worktop layout, while the 850 mm height allows comfortable access to the containers.
Cleaning involves draining the water, wiping down the baths and removing any food debris. The stainless steel surfaces can be sanitised with standard kitchen cleaning agents. The cupboard should be emptied and wiped regularly to maintain hygiene.
This model is designed for gastronorm 1/1 containers up to 200 mm deep. The catalogue places it in the hot-holding section for professional catering equipment.
