Heated cooking trolley designed for displaying, demonstrating, storing and keeping main courses warm.
A heated cooking trolley keeps prepared dishes at serving temperature while moving them through a professional kitchen or to a satellite service point. Two independent water baths, each sized for a standard GN 1/1 gastronorm container, are heated by submerged elements. The water circulates naturally, transferring heat evenly to the sides and base of the containers. This method prevents hot spots and keeps sauces, stews and braised items at a consistent temperature without drying or scorching.
The operator loads each bath with a filled GN 1/1 pan, fills the baths with water to the marked level, and sets a single temperature control for both baths. Once the water reaches the chosen setting between 30 °C and 100 °C, the unit maintains it automatically. Separate drain valves allow quick water changes between services or when switching from one menu item to another. A lower shelf provides space for lids, serving utensils or a third container that does not require heating.
The trolley is constructed from stainless steel throughout, including the frame, baths, bumpers and shelf. Four 125 mm castors, two with brakes, allow the unit to be rolled into position and locked in place. Bumpers protect the trolley and surrounding equipment from knocks during transit.
The 2 kW power rating corresponds to a single-phase 230 V supply, the standard circuit in British commercial kitchens. The temperature range of 30 °C to 100 °C covers holding, gentle reheating and low-temperature cooking such as sous-vide or poaching. The footprint of 970 mm by 650 mm fits through standard kitchen doorways and aligns with worktop depths.
Cleaning involves draining the water, wiping the baths and exterior with a damp cloth, and occasionally descaling the heating elements if hard water is used. The stainless steel surfaces resist corrosion and can be sanitised with standard kitchen chemicals.
This model is a single variant designed for two GN 1/1 containers with a common temperature control.
