A strainer attachment for professional meat mincers separates ground meat from tough connective tissue and gristle while the auger forces the product through the cutting plate. The strainer disc sits between the mincer head and the final plate, using a fine mesh or perforated steel to allow only the soft, ground meat to pass. Coarser particles and sinew are held back and expelled separately, giving a smoother, more uniform texture in sausages, burgers and forcemeat.
The operator fits the strainer disc into the mincer head, secures it with the retaining ring, then attaches the 10 mm cutting plate on top. As the mincer runs, the auger pushes the pre-ground meat against the strainer; the soft portion passes through the holes, while the unwanted gristle collects on the disc face. Once the batch is complete, the operator removes the cutting plate and lifts out the strainer to discard the retained waste.
Constructed from stainless steel, the strainer disc resists corrosion and withstands repeated cleaning cycles. Its 10 mm designation matches the hole size of the cutting plate it is paired with, ensuring consistent separation across the entire mincer line.
The disc fits Stalgast meat mincers designed for 10 mm grinding plates, maintaining compatibility with standard attachments and retaining rings.
