Salad bar KASIA 1.7 1700mm, temperature mode - +2/ +8 ºC
A refrigerated salad bar keeps prepared salads, fruits and chilled desserts at serving temperature while presenting them to customers under glass. Static cooling circulates cold air gently, avoiding dehydration of leafy greens or soft fruits. The internal cooling unit draws heat from the display area and expels it at the rear, maintaining a steady temperature between +2 °C and +8 °C without the drying effect of forced air. An automatic defrost cycle melts any ice build-up on the evaporator, draining the water away so the unit stays frost-free and efficient throughout service.
The operator loads the stainless-steel exhibition area with gastronorm containers of salads or fruits, then sets the electronic temperature regulator to the desired value within the 2–8 °C range. The digital display shows the current temperature, while an encoder output to the container ensures the cooling unit responds quickly to any change. Curved front glass can be opened for restocking, and night blinds made of plexiglass slide across to protect the display when the kitchen is closed. Optional LED lighting—white, pastry or a deep-pink meat tone—illuminates the contents, drawing attention to the fresh produce.
The outer upper body is coated steel in a choice of colours, while the work surface and exhibition area are stainless steel for hygiene and durability. Anodised aluminium profiles in gold or silver frame the glass, and ecological polyurethane foam insulation keeps the cold in and running costs low. A condenser impurity or fan malfunction alarm alerts staff to any cooling issue before it affects food safety.
The 1700 mm length provides space for multiple GN containers side by side, allowing a varied selection without crowding. A 230 V supply plugs into a standard single-phase circuit, and the 0.333 kW power rating keeps the electrical load modest. The footprint of 1700 × 765 mm fits along a serving counter or against a wall, while the 1190 mm height brings the display to eye level for customers.
Cleaning involves wiping the stainless-steel surfaces with a damp cloth and sanitiser, removing the GN containers to wash them separately, and sliding the night blinds out for cleaning. The curved glass can be lifted off its hinges for thorough cleaning, and the anodised aluminium profiles are wiped down to remove fingerprints or dust.
Optional LED lamp colours allow the lighting to be matched to the type of food displayed, and the choice of gold or silver profiles lets the unit blend with the kitchen's decor. The static cooling system, automatic defrost and electronic temperature control are standard, ensuring the salad bar maintains safe, attractive conditions for fresh produce throughout the day.
