Salad bar GASTROLINE PREMIUM 1.2 1240mm, temperature mode - +2/ +8 ºC
A refrigerated salad bar creates a self-service display where customers lift fresh ingredients directly from the chilled worktop. The unit draws warm air from the display area, cools it with a refrigeration cycle, then returns cold air through a fan. This dynamic cooling keeps every corner at the same low temperature, preventing warm spots that could spoil leafy greens or delicate fruits. An internal cooling unit runs the cycle, while automatic defrost and condensation evaporation remove ice and moisture without interrupting service. The insulation of ecological polyurethane foam slows heat transfer, so the unit maintains the set temperature with less energy.
The operator loads the granite worktop with whole fruits, prepared salads or garnishes in gastronorm containers. The glass top with straight front glass lets customers see the produce while protecting it from airborne contaminants. LED lighting illuminates the display, making colours vivid and appetising. An electronic temperature regulator with digital display lets staff set and monitor the temperature between +2 and +8 °C, the range that keeps cut vegetables crisp without freezing them. When the condenser becomes clogged, a sound signal alerts the kitchen to clean it, preventing overheating and energy waste.
The frame is prepared for gastronorm containers, so standard catering trays slide in without adapters. A hinged rear door opens for restocking or cleaning the storage area beneath the worktop. The display area is stainless steel, while the storage area is covered with PES for easy wipe-down. The outer casing is powder-coated steel, and the front panel and sides are melamine, materials that resist scratches and stains. AC fans circulate air through the unit, ensuring even cooling across the entire display.
The 1240 mm length provides space for multiple containers side by side, while the 880 mm width fits against a wall or between other counters. The 1300 mm height places the worktop at a comfortable reach for customers. The 0.692 kW power rating means the unit plugs into a standard 230 V circuit without overloading it. The weight of the unit, combined with the granite worktop, keeps it stable on the floor, so it does not shift when customers lift containers.
Cleaning involves wiping the stainless steel and PES surfaces with a damp cloth and mild detergent. The hinged rear door allows access to the storage area for deeper cleaning. The sound signal for condenser contamination reminds staff to check and clean the condenser coils, which keeps the refrigeration cycle efficient. The automatic defrost and condensation evaporation reduce manual upkeep, but the unit still requires regular checks to ensure the fans and vents remain unblocked.
