Salad bar GASTROLINE 1.0 1000mm, temperature mode - +2/ +8 ºC
A refrigerated salad bar keeps prepared salads, fruits and cold dishes at serving temperature while presenting them to customers through a glass top. The internal cooling unit circulates chilled air continuously, preventing warm spots and ensuring every item stays within the safe range of +2 to +8 °C. Ventilated cooling, or dynamic cooling, moves the air evenly across the storage chamber, so the temperature remains consistent whether the cabinet is full or nearly empty. This method also shortens recovery time after the door is opened, keeping food fresh even during busy service periods.
To use the salad bar, the operator loads the storage chamber through the hinged rear door, arranging ingredients on the adjustable shelf or in GN containers placed on the frame. The granite-grey work surface provides a stable base for plating or additional display. Once the cabinet is stocked, the electronic temperature regulator is set to the desired value between +2 and +8 °C, and the unit maintains that temperature automatically. Daylight LED lighting illuminates the glass top, highlighting the food while keeping heat emission low. The automatic defrost cycle prevents ice build-up on the evaporator, and the automatic condenser evaporation system removes excess moisture without manual intervention. If the condenser becomes clogged or the fan fails, an alarm sounds to alert staff.
The outer casing is made of black coated steel, while the front panel combines a wooden melamine finish with a stainless steel or mirror strip, available in various colours. The storage chamber is constructed from white coated steel, and the entire unit is insulated with ecological polyurethane foam. A hinged rear door allows easy access for restocking, and the 30 mm thick granite-grey work surface provides a durable and hygienic area for food preparation or display. The frame is prepared to hold GN containers, standardising portion control and presentation.
With a 240 L volume, the salad bar offers ample space for a variety of salads, fruits and cold dishes. Its 1000 mm width fits standard worktop depths, while the 1250 mm height ensures visibility across a busy counter. The 0.295 kW power rating reflects the energy needed to maintain refrigeration in a ventilated system, and the 230 V voltage requirement matches standard UK commercial circuits. The digital temperature display allows staff to monitor conditions at a glance, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
Cleaning involves wiping the glass top, work surface and outer casing with a damp cloth and mild detergent. The hinged rear door and removable shelf simplify access to the storage chamber for deeper cleaning. The automatic defrost and condenser evaporation systems reduce manual maintenance, though the condenser should be checked periodically for dust accumulation. The LED lighting requires no bulb replacement, and the electronic regulator is calibrated to maintain accuracy without adjustment.
The GASTROLINE 1000 mm salad bar is categorised as a refrigerated display unit for self-service areas, combining storage and presentation in a single appliance.
