A refrigerated showcase keeps chilled food visible while maintaining safe holding temperatures. The unit draws warm air from the display area, passes it over an evaporator coil cooled by refrigerant, and returns the air at the set temperature. A fan circulates the air continuously, preventing hot spots and ensuring even cooling across every shelf. This dynamic, ventilated system allows the showcase to hold products at the front of the glass without risking spoilage, making it essential for self-service counters in cafés, delis and retail bakeries.

The operator loads the shelves with pre-chilled items, sets the desired temperature between +3 and +10 °C on the digital controller, and switches the unit on. LED lights above and inside the cabinet switch on automatically, illuminating the display. A night roller blind can be pulled down to cover the glass when the shop is closed, reducing energy use and protecting the contents. The automatic defrost cycle runs periodically, melting any ice that forms on the evaporator and draining the water to an external container. If the condenser becomes blocked or the fan fails, an alarm sounds to alert staff.

The PAROS 1.3 is built on a steel frame with insulated plastic side walls and double-glazed panels. The top, front and base are finished in coloured sheet metal, while the interior and adjustable shelves are coated steel. Ecological polyurethane foam fills the walls and door, minimising heat transfer. The condenser outlet is piped to a container for easy disposal of condensate. Every visible part—side panels, plexiglass top, interior lights, price strips and bumper—is available in a choice of colours to match shop décor.

The 230 V, 50 Hz plug-in connection fits a standard single-phase circuit, making installation straightforward. The 15.9 kWh daily energy consumption reflects continuous cooling and lighting under normal shop conditions. At 180 kg and 1310 mm wide, the unit is moved on a pallet truck and occupies the space of a standard worktop section. The +3 to +10 °C range suits fresh salads, dairy products, sandwiches and pastries that require chilled storage but not freezing.

Cleaning involves wiping the interior and shelves with a mild detergent, removing the price strips to clean behind them, and emptying the condensate container regularly. The night blind should be rolled up and wiped down weekly to prevent dust build-up. Shelves can be repositioned or removed for thorough cleaning, and the glass panels should be cleaned with a non-abrasive glass cleaner to maintain visibility.
