SS series ice makers stand out with their compact and durable AISI 304 stainless steel construction, reliable operation, and clean, crystal-clear ice cubes specially suited for professional beverage service. The series is equipped with a spacious ice storage bin and is available with both air and water cooling systems, allowing adaptation to different working environments.
Cooling system – water or air.
M/L size ice cubes 22/40 g
An ice generator built for continuous service in bars, restaurants and event venues, the ICE TECH SS 135 produces a steady supply of slow-melting, crystal-clear cubes that keep drinks chilled without dilution. The machine freezes water by spraying it onto a copper evaporator, where it solidifies in thin layers. This method yields dense, transparent cubes that look sharp in glassware and last longer than softer ice.
Operation begins with filling the internal reservoir; the machine then cycles automatically. Water is pumped over the evaporator, freezing into cubes that drop into the 60 kg storage container once they reach the set size. The operator selects either medium 22 g or large 40 g cubes and starts the unit with the external On/Off switch. A built-in timer and thermostat regulate each cycle, ensuring consistent output without constant supervision.
The cabinet is constructed from AISI 304 stainless steel, chosen for its resistance to corrosion and ease of cleaning. The exterior remains cool to the touch, and the interior surfaces are smooth to prevent ice build-up. A removable drain tray simplifies daily upkeep, while the refrigerant R290 is used in a quantity that complies with current safety standards.
Controls are limited to the essentials: an On/Off switch, a cube-size selector, and a cooling-mode switch for air or water. The 230 V single-phase connection plugs into a standard kitchen circuit, and the 2.292 kW power rating reflects the load on the supply during peak freezing.
A capacity of 134-136 kg per 24 hours means the unit can support a busy bar or breakfast service without running empty. The 60 kg storage container holds enough ice for several hours of peak demand, while the 83 kg weight allows the machine to be moved with a trolley but keeps it stable on the worktop. The footprint of 930 × 565 mm fits into most back-bar or utility spaces, and the 915 mm height clears standard shelving.
Daily cleaning involves emptying the storage container, wiping the interior with a damp cloth, and rinsing the water reservoir. The air-cooled version includes a drain pump to remove condensate automatically. For optimal ice clarity, a water softener and filter are recommended, though not supplied.
Two cooling options are available: air-cooled (with optional drain pump) or water-cooled, allowing the machine to adapt to sites with or without a water supply. Cube sizes can be switched between 22 g and 40 g to suit different glassware and presentation needs.
The SS 135 is filed under professional refrigeration and ice production in the catering-equipment catalogue.
