A continuous supply of cold, dry flake ice for rapid cooling and stable temperature control in professional kitchens, fish processing, supermarkets and laboratories.

The machine produces flat flake ice by freezing a thin film of water on a rotating drum. The drum is cooled internally by a refrigeration circuit, and the ice forms on its outer surface. As the drum turns, a fixed blade scrapes the ice off in flakes, which drop into a storage bin below. The thickness of the flakes can be adjusted between 1.5 mm and 3 mm, allowing the operator to match the ice to the specific cooling or presentation needs of the application. Because the ice is formed in thin layers, it is dry to the touch and does not clump, making it easy to dispense and distribute.

To start the machine, connect the water supply and the 400 V three-phase electrical circuit. The built-in electronic control system monitors water level, motor load and bin capacity, and automatically starts the production cycle. Once the bin is full, the machine pauses until ice is removed, then resumes production to maintain the set level. The operator simply draws ice from the 480 mm diameter exit as needed; no manual intervention is required during normal operation.

The SC2TN COMPACT is constructed on a stainless steel base that supports the refrigeration components, the direct-drive gear motor, the magnetic water pump and the control panel. The entire unit is self-contained, with no external refrigeration system or remote condenser, so installation is limited to positioning the machine, connecting water and power, and levelling the feet.

The control panel includes an on-off switch, a thickness adjustment dial, indicator lights for water level, motor overload and full bin, and an emergency stop button. The thickness dial sets the gap between the drum and the scraper blade, determining whether the flakes are finer or coarser.

A capacity of 2000 kg per 24 hours means the machine can supply a steady stream of ice for high-volume applications such as fish processing lines, supermarket seafood displays or industrial cooling baths. The 11 kW power rating reflects the load on the three-phase supply, so the circuit must be dedicated and protected accordingly. The footprint of 1405 mm by 1613 mm and a height of 1600 mm allow the unit to fit through standard doorways and into most back-of-house areas, while the 513 kg weight requires a solid floor and may need a pallet truck or forklift for initial positioning.

Cleaning is limited to the parts that contact water and ice. The water pump, feed lines and drum surface should be flushed periodically to prevent mineral build-up. The stainless steel base and bin can be wiped down with a mild detergent solution. The electronic control system and refrigeration circuit require no routine maintenance beyond keeping the condenser coils free of dust.
