Ice-cream showcase INNOVA ICE. Temperature range -10ºC/-20ºC
An ice-cream showcase keeps frozen desserts at serving consistency while presenting them through curved glass. The unit circulates chilled air dynamically, pulling heat away from the dishes faster than still air would. This steady airflow prevents ice crystals from forming on the surface, so each scoop stays smooth and creamy. A refrigeration coil hidden behind the interior panels cools the air, and a fan moves it evenly across every shelf. The showcase maintains temperatures below freezing, preserving texture and flavour until the moment the dessert is served.
To operate, the curved front glass is lifted and the stainless-steel containers are filled with ice-cream. The electronic scale is set to the desired holding temperature between -20 °C and -10 °C. Once the unit is switched on, the dynamic cooling system starts immediately, and the automatic defrost cycle runs at intervals to keep the coil clear of frost. The LED confectionery lamp illuminates the interior, highlighting the colours of the desserts, while the interior advertising light panel can display branding or promotional graphics. The worktop remains at room temperature, providing a stable surface for portioning and serving.
The exterior is finished in wood trim chosen from the BHS colour palette, with matching front, side and arched side panels. Inside, the shelves are available in silver or gold from the same palette. The worktop and all ice-cream containers are made of stainless steel for durability and hygiene. Environmentally friendly polyurethane foam insulates the cabinet, reducing energy use while maintaining consistent temperatures. A USB temperature recorder logs performance for quality control.
The 1400 mm width allows eleven standard 360 x 165 mm ice-cream dishes or six large 360 x 250 mm dishes to be displayed at once. The 14.7 kWh/24h power rating indicates the daily energy consumption when the unit is running continuously. A 230 V, 50 Hz supply is required, matching the standard single-phase circuit found in most professional kitchens. The overall footprint of 1400 x 850 mm plus a 10 mm tolerance ensures the showcase fits through standard doorways and aligns with typical worktop depths.
Cleaning involves wiping the stainless-steel worktop and containers with a damp cloth and mild detergent. The curved glass can be lifted for access to the interior, where shelves and panels are removed for thorough cleaning. The automatic defrost system reduces manual maintenance, but the coil area should be checked periodically to ensure airflow remains unobstructed. The LED lamps and advertising panel are long-lasting and require replacement only after extended use.
Colour options for the wood trim, front, side and arched side panels, as well as interior shelves, are selected from the BHS palette at the time of ordering. The unit is supplied with an ice-cream spoon and stainless-steel shelves as standard.
