Hot showcase SANTIAGO 2000 mm. Temperature range +30/+90 ºC
A hot food display case keeps prepared dishes at serving temperature while presenting them to customers. The unit circulates warm air around a water bath, maintaining an even heat without drying the food. Ceramic heaters above the display area add radiant warmth, and a fan ensures the temperature stays consistent from the front to the back of the case. This method prevents cold spots and preserves the texture and flavour of dishes like roasted meats, stews and baked goods over long service periods.
To use the SANTIAGO 2000 mm case, fill the stainless steel water bath to the marked level. Adjust the feet to level the unit on the worktop. Plug the case into a 400 V three-phase supply. Set the temperature regulator between +30 °C and +90 °C, depending on the food being held. Load gastronorm containers into the frame, then switch on the top lamp and ceramic heaters. The telescopic windscreen can be raised or lowered to protect the food while allowing customer access. A water-level sensor alerts staff when the bath needs topping up.
The construction is a stainless acid-resistant steel water bath insulated with mineral wool and environmentally friendly polyurethane foam. The outer casing on the working side is white polymer-coated steel, while the customer-facing side uses anodised aluminium profiles available in silver or gold. A 20 mm grey granite table top provides a durable work surface. Side panels are ABS plastic in a choice of colours, and the buffer trim can also be selected to match the kitchen décor. The frame is prepared for GN gastronorm containers, ensuring compatibility with standard catering trays.
The temperature range of +30 °C to +90 °C allows the case to hold everything from delicate pastries to hot entrées. The 39.7 kWh per 24-hour power rating indicates the energy required for continuous operation, which is typical for a unit of this size. The 2000 mm length provides ample display space for a busy service, while the 1190 mm depth and 1230 mm height fit within standard worktop layouts. Adjustable feet allow the case to be levelled on uneven floors, and the modular design lets multiple units be joined to create a continuous display line.
Cleaning involves draining the water bath and wiping it with a mild detergent. The granite table top and ABS side panels can be cleaned with standard kitchen sanitiser. The telescopic windscreen should be lifted fully to clean the tracks, and the anodised aluminium profiles can be wiped with a damp cloth. The top lamp and ceramic heaters should be switched off and allowed to cool before cleaning. Regular checks of the water-level sensor ensure the bath remains at the correct level for consistent heating.
The SANTIAGO 2000 mm case is part of the SANTIAGO series, which offers customisation options including colour choices for side panels and buffer trim. The modular design allows multiple units to be connected to form a continuous display line tailored to the kitchen layout.
