Hot showcase-marmite KASIA GRZ 1300mm. Temperature range +30/+90ºC
A hot food showcase keeps prepared dishes at serving temperature without drying or overcooking. It circulates warm air around gastronorm containers, using a heating element and a fan to distribute heat evenly across every shelf. The enclosed space prevents heat loss, while the glass front lets customers see the food while keeping the warmth inside. This method preserves texture, colour and flavour better than holding dishes under heat lamps or on a bain-marie, and it allows the kitchen to display a full menu in a compact footprint.
The operator loads gastronorm containers onto the stainless-steel shelves, sets the desired temperature on the digital controller, and switches the unit on. The electronic display shows the current chamber temperature, and an alarm sounds if the fan or condenser fails. Once the showcase reaches the set point, it maintains the temperature automatically, allowing staff to focus on plating and service. A night blind made of plexiglass can be rolled down to protect the food when the kitchen is closed.
The interior is constructed from acid-resistant stainless steel, and the exterior top housing is coated steel available in different colours. Anodised aluminium profiles in gold or silver frame the curved, openable front glass. The worktop is stainless steel, and the unit stands on adjustable feet or optional castors for mobility. Ecological polyurethane foam insulation reduces energy use, and an LED lamp—white, confectionery or deep-pink—illuminates the dishes.
The 230 V, 50 Hz supply matches a standard single-phase circuit found in most professional kitchens. The 22.9 kWh/24h power rating indicates the daily energy consumption when the showcase is held at a mid-range temperature. The 1300 mm width provides space for multiple gastronorm containers side by side, while the 850 mm depth allows full-size trays to be loaded without overhang. The 1190 mm height fits beneath standard worktop extractor canopies.
Cleaning involves wiping the stainless-steel interior and worktop with a damp cloth and mild detergent, then drying to prevent water marks. The curved glass front can be opened for access, and the night blind should be cleaned regularly to maintain visibility. The condenser outlet drains into a container that must be emptied periodically to prevent overflow. Shelves and crossbars can be removed for thorough cleaning, and the LED lamp can be replaced without tools.
Variants include a mobile version on castors and an optional glass shelf-showcase that can be installed above the gastronorm containers. The showcase is categorised under hot-holding equipment for front-of-house display.
