Hot showcase-marmite BEMAR OPEN 1000mm. Temperature range +30/+90ºC
A heated display showcase keeps prepared dishes at serving temperature while presenting them openly to customers. The unit circulates warm air around GN food containers, maintaining an even heat without drying the food. A fan draws air across a heating element and distributes it evenly through the cabinet, ensuring every portion stays at the set temperature. The glass screens and stainless-steel extension allow clear visibility from all angles, so customers can see the food without opening the cabinet and losing heat.
The operator loads GN containers into the pre-formed frame, then sets the electronic controller to the desired temperature between 30 °C and 90 °C. The digital display shows the current reading, and the unit automatically maintains the setting. LED lighting inside the top of the cabinet illuminates the dishes, making colours and textures stand out. When the showcase is no longer needed, the operator switches it off and removes the containers.
The cabinet is built on a granite worktop 30 mm thick and 800 mm deep, providing a sturdy, heat-resistant surface. The external housing combines a wooden melamine front panel with a stainless-steel or mirror strip, available in several colours. The top is glass with a straight front panel, and the storage chamber behind the display is made of white-coated steel with an adjustable shelf. Hinged back doors allow access to the internal cooling aggregate and controls. Ecological polyurethane foam insulation reduces heat loss, and automatic defrost and condenser vaporisation keep the system running without manual intervention. An alarm sounds if the condenser becomes clogged or the fan fails.
The 230 V, 50 Hz supply matches standard UK single-phase circuits, so the showcase can be plugged in without rewiring. The 12.9 kWh per 24 hours power rating indicates the energy used during continuous operation, helping to estimate running costs. The 1000 mm width, 800 mm depth and 1350 mm height footprint determines the space required on the counter or floor, and the adjustable shelf inside the storage chamber allows different container heights to be accommodated.
Cleaning involves wiping the granite worktop and glass screens with a damp cloth, and the hinged back doors allow access to the interior for deeper cleaning. The LED lighting does not require bulb changes, and the automatic defrost and condenser vaporisation reduce maintenance tasks.
The showcase is available with different front-panel colours from the IGLOO pattern book, allowing it to match various kitchen decors. It is classified as a showcase in the IGLOO GastroLine range.
