Professional electric range with 2 cast iron hotplates and a neutral cabinet, designed for intensive use in professional kitchens. The durable AISI 304 stainless steel construction ensures long service life, even heat distribution and easy daily cleaning.
An electric range combines a hob and a neutral cabinet in a single unit, letting chefs sear, sauté and hold ingredients without moving between stations. The hob heats through electric elements beneath cast iron hotplates; the neutral cabinet below keeps plates, pans or ingredients at serving temperature without further cooking. The two sections share a power supply and a footprint, freeing worktop space in a professional kitchen.
The hob uses cast iron hotplates that conduct heat evenly across their surface. Each hotplate is controlled by a seven-position switch that adjusts the element's output, giving precise temperature control from a gentle simmer to a rolling boil. A temperature limiter prevents the hotplate from overheating, protecting both the appliance and the cookware. The neutral cabinet below is unheated but insulated, maintaining a stable environment for holding food at safe temperatures until service.
To use the range, the operator selects the desired hotplate with the seven-position switch, turning it to the appropriate setting for the cooking task. The hotplate heats up, and the chef places the pan or pot on its surface. The neutral cabinet is accessed by lifting the worktop, allowing plates or ingredients to be stored inside. Once cooking is complete, the switch is turned off, and the hotplate cools down gradually. The neutral cabinet can be left closed to retain warmth or opened to allow items to cool.
The construction is made of CrNi 18/10 AISI 304 stainless steel with a Scotch-Brite satin finish, including a 2 mm thick worktop with rounded edges and chrome-plated components. The control knobs are IPX5 water-resistant, protecting them from splashes and spills in a busy kitchen. All serviceable components are accessible by removing the front control panel, simplifying maintenance and repairs. The unit is supplied with adjustable feet for levelling on uneven floors.
The 5.2 kW power rating indicates the load the range places on the electrical supply, requiring a dedicated circuit capable of handling the demand. The voltage options of 400 V~2N, 230 V~3 or 230 V~ allow the range to be installed in kitchens with different electrical configurations, including three-phase or single-phase setups. The 42 kg weight means the unit can be moved by two people or with a trolley, while the 400×705×900 mm footprint shows the space it occupies on the worktop and floor.
Cleaning involves wiping down the stainless steel surfaces with a damp cloth and mild detergent, paying attention to the rounded edges and chrome-plated components. The IPX5-rated knobs can be cleaned with water without risk of damage. The cast iron hotplates should be cleaned after each use to prevent food residue from burning on, and the neutral cabinet can be wiped out regularly to maintain hygiene. The front control panel can be removed for deeper cleaning or to access internal components for servicing.
The LOTUS PC-74ET is a range without doors, offering open access to the neutral cabinet. It is categorised under professional cooking equipment, specifically electric ranges with integrated neutral cabinets.
