Professional electric griddle with a smooth cooking surface and an open neutral cabinet, designed for intensive use in professional kitchens. The durable AISI 304 stainless steel construction ensures even heating, long service life and easy daily cleaning.
A smooth electric fry-top heats a solid steel or chrome-plated plate from beneath, spreading heat evenly across the entire surface without hot spots. The plate absorbs and holds the heat, then transfers it directly to food placed on top, allowing precise control over cooking temperatures for grilling, searing and shallow frying.
To use the FTL-712ET, the operator first sets the double thermostat to the desired temperature between 50 and 300 °C. Once the plate reaches the set point, the unit holds it automatically. Food is placed directly on the smooth surface; there is no basket or grid to lower. As cooking progresses, excess fat and juices run off the rounded edges of the plate into removable grease collection containers beneath. After service, the containers are emptied, and the plate and splashback are wiped down while still warm to remove residue.
The fry-top is built from CrNi 18/10 AISI 304 stainless steel with a Scotch-Brite satin finish. The 2 mm thick worktop has rounded edges, chrome-plated components and a rear splashback to protect the wall. IPX5-rated water-resistant control knobs sit on the front panel, which can be removed for access to all serviceable parts. An open base cabinet with a single storage shelf sits below the cooking surface, and adjustable feet allow the unit to be levelled on uneven floors.
The 14.8 kW power rating requires a 400 V three-phase supply, the standard for heavy-duty catering equipment in professional kitchens. At 150 kg, the unit is moved with a pallet truck or trolley, not carried by hand. Its footprint of 120 mm depth by 705 mm width by 900 mm height fits against a wall or island run, leaving space for rear ventilation and splashback clearance.
Cleaning follows from the construction: the smooth plate and splashback are wiped with a soft cloth and mild detergent, the grease containers are removed and washed separately, and the open cabinet and shelf are brushed or wiped to remove dust. The control panel is kept dry, and the adjustable feet are checked periodically to ensure stability.
The FTL-712ET is supplied with either an FE430B steel cooking plate or an FE510C chrome-plated steel plate. Doors are not included with the open cabinet base.
