| NOTES | Hard chrome coating on a steel plate. Ribbed griddle |
Professional electric griddle with a ribbed cooking surface and an open neutral cabinet, designed for intensive use in professional kitchens. The durable AISI 304 stainless steel construction ensures even heating, long service life and easy daily cleaning.
An electric ribbed griddle heats a solid metal plate from beneath with concealed elements. The ridges on the plate create channels that collect rendered fat and juices, keeping them away from the cooking surface. This prevents flare-ups and allows food to sear directly on the hot metal, giving the characteristic grill marks and smoky flavour without an open flame.
The operator lowers the adjustable feet to level the unit, then connects the 400 V 3-phase supply. After switching on, the double thermostat is set to the desired temperature between 50 °C and 300 °C. The chrome-plated steel plate reaches working temperature quickly and holds it evenly across its surface. Food is placed directly on the ribbed plate; fat and juices run into the channels and drain into the removable grease collection containers at the front. When cooking is complete, the containers are lifted out, emptied and washed.
The griddle is built on an open stainless-steel frame with a storage shelf beneath. The 2 mm thick worktop and rear splashback are made of CrNi 18/10 AISI 304 stainless steel with a Scotch-Brite satin finish. Rounded edges and chrome-plated components reduce sharp corners and improve durability. IPX5-rated water-resistant control knobs are mounted on the front panel, which hinges down for access to all serviceable parts. Adjustable feet allow the unit to sit level on uneven floors.
The 5.55 kW power rating indicates the load on the electrical circuit; a 400 V 3-phase supply is required. The 600 mm width of the cooking plate determines the usable cooking area, while the 78 kg weight shows that the unit is designed to be moved with a trolley or two people. The 600x705x900 mm footprint dictates the space it occupies on the worktop or floor.
Cleaning involves wiping the chrome-plated plate with a soft cloth once it has cooled, emptying and washing the grease containers, and brushing out any debris from the channels. The front control panel can be lowered to reach internal components for periodic maintenance. The stainless-steel frame and splashback are wiped down with a damp cloth and mild detergent.
This model is supplied with a hard chrome-coated steel plate and does not include doors for the neutral cabinet.
