A smooth electric fry-top griddle heats a hard chrome-plated steel plate evenly across its surface, transferring heat directly to food without open flames. The plate's low thermal mass and high conductivity allow rapid temperature adjustment, so the operator can sear, grill or hold at precise settings from 50 to 300 °C. A neutral cabinet beneath the worktop provides dry, ambient storage for ingredients or utensils, keeping them within arm's reach during service.

The sequence begins by setting the double thermostat to the desired temperature. Once the plate reaches the set point, food is placed directly on the smooth surface. The chrome coating reduces sticking and spreads heat uniformly, so each item cooks at the same rate. Grease and juices drain into removable collection containers at the front, minimising flare-ups and simplifying cleanup. After cooking, the plate cools quickly, ready for the next batch or for end-of-shift maintenance.

The unit is built from CrNi 18/10 AISI 304 stainless steel with a Scotch-Brite satin finish, including a 2 mm thick worktop and rounded edges for safety. Chrome-plated components and a rear splashback protect the structure from corrosion and splashes. IPX5-rated water-resistant control knobs allow safe wipe-downs without risk of electrical shorting. The open base design incorporates a storage shelf, and adjustable feet ensure a level stance on uneven floors.

Controls consist of two thermostats, each governing half of the 50/50 split plate. This division lets the operator run different temperature zones simultaneously—one side for searing steaks, the other for holding pancakes—without cross-contamination of flavours or heat.

A 7.4 kW power rating draws a substantial load on a 400 V three-phase circuit, typical of professional kitchens with dedicated high-capacity wiring. The 600 mm depth and 705 mm width fit standard worktop runs, while the 900 mm height allows comfortable standing operation. At 78 kg, the unit is moved with a trolley but remains stable once positioned. The 50–300 °C temperature range covers everything from delicate warming to high-heat grilling, making the griddle suitable for a full menu of breakfast, lunch and dinner items.

Cleaning follows from the construction: the front control panel lifts off to expose all serviceable components. The chrome-plated plate is wiped with a soft cloth and mild detergent, avoiding abrasives that could scratch the finish. Grease collection containers slide out for emptying and washing. The stainless steel body and splashback are scrubbed with non-chloride cleaners to preserve the satin finish and prevent corrosion.

The FTLR-76ETS is supplied with either an FE430B steel cooking plate or the FE510C chrome-plated steel plate; the SUPERCHROM designation refers to the chrome option. Adjustable feet are included, but doors for the neutral cabinet are not part of the standard package.
