A grinding plate determines the texture of minced meat, vegetables or other foods in a commercial grinder. The FIMAR Disk H6 is a flat stainless steel plate with precision-cut holes that shear the food as the auger forces it through. The 6 mm hole size produces a coarse, chunky grind suitable for burgers, sausages and rustic dishes where visible texture is wanted.
The plate fits between the grinder head and the knife. As the auger turns, it pushes the food against the plate; the knife rotates against the plate's surface, cutting the food into pieces the size of the holes. A thicker plate like the H6 resists flexing under pressure, keeping the grind consistent even with tough or frozen ingredients.
To use, the operator disassembles the grinder head, removes the existing plate, inserts the Disk H6, aligns the knife, and reassembles. The plate is then ready for the next batch. No settings are adjusted on the plate itself; the coarseness is fixed by the hole size.
The Disk H6 is made of hardened stainless steel to withstand repeated contact with the knife and the abrasion of food. The 6 mm thickness gives the plate the rigidity needed for heavy use without adding unnecessary weight.
This grinding plate fits FIMAR commercial grinders and may also be compatible with other brands that use the same mounting diameter and knife alignment. It is a direct replacement part, not a complete grinder assembly.
Cleaning follows the same routine as the grinder itself: disassemble, scrub the plate with a brush and hot soapy water, rinse, and dry before storage. The stainless steel surface resists corrosion but should be dried thoroughly to prevent water spots or pitting.
The Disk H6 is listed in the spare parts section of the FIMAR catalogue under grinding plates for coarse textures.
