Only panels - without cooling unit
Cold room panels create a walk-in refrigerated chamber by joining insulated panels edge-to-edge without mortar or sealant. Each panel has a rigid core of high-density insulation sandwiched between two metal skins. When the panels interlock, they form airtight walls, floor and ceiling that slow heat transfer from the outside, keeping the internal temperature low and stable. The thickness of the insulation determines how effectively the room resists ambient heat; thicker insulation reduces energy use and maintains tighter temperature control over time.
The operator starts by laying the anti-slip stainless steel floor panel on a level base. Wall panels are then slotted into the floor's interlocking profile and secured to each other with cam locks or tongue-and-groove joints. Once the walls are complete, ceiling panels are placed on top and locked into position. The internal chamber dimensions allow easy movement of trolleys and shelving, while the external footprint fits through standard doorways for straightforward delivery and positioning.
Each panel is 80 mm thick, combining strength with thermal efficiency. The anti-slip floor panel is made of 304-grade stainless steel, chosen for durability and hygiene in wet environments. The interlocking system requires no specialised tools, so assembly can be completed quickly by kitchen staff without external contractors. The panels are lightweight enough to be handled by two people, yet the floor is rated to support a distributed load of up to 1500 kg per square metre, accommodating heavy shelving and bulk storage.
Controls are not part of these panels; they are designed to connect to a separate cooling unit that circulates chilled air through the chamber. The 4.48 cubic metre volume provides ample space for organised storage of perishable goods, while the internal height allows stacking to the ceiling without obstructing airflow.
Cleaning involves wiping down the stainless steel floor with standard kitchen sanitising solutions. The smooth metal surface resists staining and does not absorb moisture, reducing the risk of bacterial growth. Wall and ceiling panels can be cleaned with a damp cloth and mild detergent, avoiding abrasive pads that could scratch the finish. The interlocking edges should be checked periodically to ensure they remain tight and free of debris, maintaining the airtight seal.
Customisation options include additional door panels, viewing windows, and internal shelving kits, allowing the cold room to be adapted to specific kitchen layouts. The panels are supplied as a kit without the cooling unit, enabling the user to select a refrigeration system that matches the required temperature range and capacity.
