A backbar cooler keeps bottled and canned drinks chilled to serving temperature without ice. The unit draws heat from the stored stock and expels it at the rear, using a refrigerant that circulates through a closed loop. A variable-speed compressor adjusts its output to maintain the set temperature, reducing energy use when the load is light. Ventilated cooling moves chilled air evenly across every shelf, so every bottle or can reaches the same temperature regardless of position.

The operator loads the drinks onto the chrome wire shelves, closes the sliding glass doors and sets the electronic thermostat between +2 °C and +10 °C. LED lighting stays on while the doors are open, showing the stock without adding heat. A lock secures the contents overnight or during service.

The cabinet is built from solid materials and finished in stainless steel. Four chrome wire shelves, each 395 mm by 328 mm, slide out for loading and unloading. The doors are tempered double-glazed panels that slide on self-closing tracks, reducing cold-air loss when opened.

The 220-240 V, 50 Hz supply matches standard UK commercial circuits. The 0.115 kW power rating reflects the load on the kitchen's electrical system. The 64 kg weight indicates that the unit is moved on a trolley or with two people. The 900 mm width fits under most bar counters, while the 188 L volume holds up to 276 standard 330 ml cans or 143 half-litre bottles.

Cleaning involves wiping the chrome shelves and the interior surfaces with a damp cloth. The ventilated cooling system requires occasional vacuuming of the rear grille to maintain airflow. The tempered glass doors are cleaned with standard glass cleaner.
