High-quality bar fridge with low energy consumption, 188 liters
A backbar cooler keeps bottled and canned drinks at serving temperature behind the bar, ready for immediate use. It draws heat from the stored items and expels it into the room through a refrigeration cycle. A variable-speed compressor adjusts its output to the load, reducing energy use when fewer drinks are inside. Ventilated cooling circulates chilled air evenly across every shelf, preventing warm spots and ensuring consistent temperature throughout the cabinet.
The operator loads bottles and cans onto the four chrome wire shelves, each sized to hold standard bar formats. The hinged double-glazed door opens to reveal LED lighting that illuminates the contents without adding heat. A lock secures the stock overnight. The electronic thermostat is set to the desired temperature between +2 °C and +10 °C, and the cooler maintains it automatically.
The cabinet is constructed with an aluminium frame around the tempered glass door. Inside, four chrome-plated wire shelves rest on adjustable supports, allowing the spacing to be reorganised for taller bottles. The rear wall houses the evaporator and fan that distribute the chilled air.
Controls consist of an electronic thermostat that sets the target temperature and a lock that secures the door. The thermostat display shows the current internal temperature, and the compressor adjusts its speed to match the cooling demand.
A capacity of 188 litres translates to 276 standard 330 ml cans or 143 full-size 500 ml bottles. The 900 mm height fits beneath most bar counters, while the 520 mm width allows it to sit between standard under-bar modules. A weight of 64 kg means the unit can be moved by two people or a small trolley. The 220-240 V, 50 Hz supply matches the standard UK single-phase circuit, and the 0.115 kW power rating keeps the electrical load low.
Cleaning involves wiping the chrome shelves and interior surfaces with a damp cloth. The wire shelves lift out for thorough cleaning. The glass door and aluminium frame are cleaned with a mild detergent, avoiding abrasives that could scratch the finish. The ventilated cooling system requires occasional vacuuming of the rear grille to maintain airflow.
The BA21H is part of the TEFCOLD BA range of backbar coolers, sharing the same construction and features across different sizes and capacities.
