A professional espresso machine designed for cafés, coffee bars and small restaurants that need consistent, high-quality coffee without occupying excessive counter space. The EX2 Mini 2gr Control uses the Expobar hydraulic system to maintain stable water pressure and temperature throughout every extraction.

The machine heats water to the precise temperature required for espresso, then forces it through the coffee puck under controlled pressure. Before full extraction begins, an electronic pre-infusion system gently saturates the grounds, swelling them evenly and eliminating dry pockets that cause channeling. This step is critical for unlocking the full aroma and body of the coffee, giving baristas the consistency needed to serve espresso that meets exacting standards every time.

Operation is streamlined for speed and comfort. Two half-turn knobs control steam and water delivery, allowing baristas to switch between tasks without looking away from the cup. The work surface is positioned at an ergonomic height, and the group heads are spaced for easy access, reducing unnecessary movement during peak service. A redesigned cup tray accommodates both small espresso cups and larger to-go glasses, keeping them stable even when the machine is in constant use.

Built for durability and ease of maintenance, the EX2 Mini 2gr Control is constructed from robust materials that withstand daily wear in a professional environment. Internal components are readily accessible, allowing technicians to perform routine servicing quickly and minimising downtime. The compact footprint of 515 mm width fits neatly into tight spaces, while the 6 L water reservoir supports steady operation without frequent refilling.

The machine operates on a 230 V single-phase supply, the standard circuit found in most commercial kitchens. Its 2.8 kW power rating reflects the energy required to heat water rapidly and maintain temperature stability across two brew groups. At 48 kg, the unit is heavy enough to remain stable on the counter but can still be moved by two people when necessary.

Cleaning follows from the construction: the group heads and steam wands are designed for quick disassembly, and the drip tray slides out for emptying and rinsing. The water reservoir is removable, allowing thorough cleaning to prevent scale build-up. Regular descaling and backflushing of the group heads keep the hydraulic system performing at its best, ensuring the machine continues to deliver consistent espresso over years of service.

This model is part of the EX2 series, which includes variants with different numbers of brew groups and control systems.
