An ice-cream showcase keeps frozen product at serving temperature while displaying it through clear glass. Static cooling circulates cold air inside the cabinet without a fan, so the air moves gently and does not dry the surface of the ice cream. The curved sliding lids seal the cabinet when closed, trapping the cold air and reducing the load on the refrigeration system. Because the lids slide instead of lifting, they take less space above the unit and allow the canopy to sit closer to the product, making the display more compact and eye-level for customers.

The operator loads the ice cream into the baskets supplied, then slides the baskets into the cabinet. The curved lids are opened by sliding them to one side, and closed by sliding them back. A lock secures the lids when the unit is unattended. LED interior lighting is switched on to illuminate the product, and the illuminated canopy above the cabinet provides branding space. The temperature is set within the range of -30 to -10 °C, depending on the type of ice cream and the desired firmness. Once the temperature is reached, the static cooling system maintains it without further adjustment.

The cabinet is built with curved corners and rounded edges, all finished in white. The construction is mounted on four castors, two of which have brakes to hold the unit in place. The refrigerant used is R600a, with a charge of 70 g. The exterior dimensions are 584 mm wide, 714 mm deep and 1169.5 mm high, giving a footprint that fits behind most counters. The usable volume is 110 litres, with a total volume of 152 litres. The unit weighs 47 kg, allowing it to be moved by one person when the castors are unlocked.

The voltage requirement is 220-240 V at 50 Hz, which matches the standard single-phase supply in British commercial kitchens. The power consumption is rated at 1.54 kWh per 24 hours, indicating the energy used to maintain the set temperature over a full day. The temperature range of -30 to -10 °C allows the showcase to hold both hard-pack and softer ice creams, as well as gelato and sorbet, without risk of melting or excessive hardening.

Cleaning involves wiping the interior and exterior surfaces with a damp cloth, taking care not to allow water into the refrigeration components. The LED lights and canopy can be cleaned with a soft cloth to maintain brightness. The castors should be checked periodically to ensure they roll freely and the brakes hold securely. The curved sliding lids should be cleaned along their tracks to prevent debris from interfering with their movement.
