Thermostat for a 746097
A working thermostat maintains precise heat levels in professional catering appliances by regulating the flow of electricity to heating elements. When the temperature inside an oven, fryer or heated cabinet rises above the set point, the thermostat interrupts the circuit, cutting power until the temperature falls. Once the temperature drops below the set point, the circuit closes again, restoring heat. This cyclical process keeps the appliance at a steady temperature, which is essential for consistent cooking, frying or holding without scorching or undercooking.
To use the thermostat, the operator first ensures the appliance is switched off and disconnected from the power supply. The faulty thermostat is removed by unscrewing its mounting bracket and disconnecting the wiring terminals. The new Stalgast working thermostat is then fitted in its place, reconnecting the wires to the correct terminals and securing the mounting bracket. After reassembly, the appliance is powered on and the thermostat is set to the desired temperature using the control dial or digital interface of the host appliance. The thermostat will then regulate the heat automatically, requiring no further intervention during operation.
The Stalgast working thermostat is designed for direct replacement in commercial catering equipment where temperature control up to 200 °C is required. Its construction allows it to withstand the thermal and mechanical stresses of a busy kitchen environment, ensuring stable performance over repeated heating and cooling cycles.
This component is a spare part and fits a range of professional appliances that use Stalgast temperature control systems. It is listed in the catering equipment spare parts catalogue under temperature regulation components.
