Temperature mode -22 / -18°C
An upright freezer draws heat from the air inside and expels it at the back, lowering the temperature below the freezing point of water. A compressor circulates refrigerant through coils; as the refrigerant evaporates, it absorbs heat from the cabinet, then condenses outside to release that heat. Ventilated cooling moves the cold air evenly across every shelf, preventing warm spots and keeping stored food at a uniform temperature.
The operator loads trays or containers onto the three grey wire shelves, each sized to hold standard gastronorm GN2/1 pans. The solid door opens fully to one side, chosen during installation, and closes with a lock to secure stock. A digital controller on the front panel sets the temperature between -22 and -18 °C; the display shows the current reading so the operator can check without opening the door.
The cabinet is built with a stainless steel exterior and interior, resisting corrosion and making surfaces easy to wipe clean. An integrated handle runs vertically along the door edge, allowing a secure grip without protruding parts. Adjustable feet at the front and rollers at the rear let the unit sit level on uneven floors and roll clear for cleaning behind.
A 518 litre volume provides space for bulk storage without taking more floor area than a single door. The footprint of 777 by 745 millimetres fits through standard kitchen doorways and aligns with worktop depths. A weight of 94 kilograms means two people can move the freezer safely, while the rollers at the back allow one person to reposition it once in place.
The power requirement of 0.27 kilowatts indicates the load on the electrical circuit; a single-phase 220-240 volt supply is standard in professional kitchens. The refrigerant charge of 120 grams of R290 is a hydrocarbon with low global warming potential, complying with current environmental regulations.
Cleaning involves wiping the stainless steel surfaces with a damp cloth and mild detergent, removing the wire shelves to wash separately if needed. The ventilated cooling system should be checked periodically to ensure the airflow remains unobstructed. The reversible door can be switched from left to right hinge if the kitchen layout changes, without requiring additional parts.
