Upright freezer TEFCOLD UF400

An upright freezer keeps food frozen by circulating cold air inside a sealed cabinet. A compressor draws refrigerant through coils, lowering its temperature. The cold refrigerant absorbs heat from the air inside the cabinet, then releases it outside. This cycle maintains the set temperature, preserving food without dehydration or freezer burn. The UF400 is loaded through a single reversible door. The operator sets the electronic thermostat between -24 and -10 °C, then places items on the six fixed freezing shelves. Each shelf measures 490 by 380 mm, allowing organised storage of trays and containers. Adjustable feet level the unit on uneven floors, ensuring the door seals tightly. The cabinet is built with a solid door and a refrigerant charge of 90 g of R600a, a hydrocarbon with low environmental impact. The 0.150 kW compressor runs on a 220-240 V, 50 Hz supply, suitable for standard UK commercial circuits. The 340 litre volume provides space for bulk storage, while the 80 kg weight allows the unit to be moved with a trolley or two people. The footprint of 600 by 585 mm fits against a wall or between worktops, leaving clearance for ventilation. The 1855 mm height requires overhead space but maximises storage without a larger floor area. The temperature range of -24 to -10 °C covers freezing and long-term storage, though it does not include a defrost cycle for chilled goods. The smooth, seamless interior and full-width epoxy-coated shelves let you slide out frozen stock without snagging, so a single pass with a cloth removes frost and spills before they freeze solid. The fixed shelves can be removed for thorough cleaning, but the refrigerant system requires no regular maintenance beyond checking the door seal.
