An upright freezer of 900 litres capacity holds frozen goods at temperatures between -24 °C and -18 °C without a compressor cycle that would thaw them. The unit draws heat out of the cabinet with a refrigerant that circulates through evaporator coils behind the liner. A fan moves air across the coils, pulling warmth from the stored food and spreading cold air evenly through the shelves. This ventilated cooling keeps every shelf at the same low temperature, so stock does not need rotating to stay frozen. The operator loads the shelves through a single reversible door that closes automatically. A lock secains the contents overnight or during service. The door can be hinged on the left or the right, whichever suits the kitchen layout. Inside, six wire shelves adjust up and down to fit different pack heights. Each shelf measures 530 mm across and 540 mm deep, giving a clear footprint for standard catering trays. The cabinet is built in stainless steel, inside and out, for resistance to moisture and cleaning chemicals. Four strong wheels allow the unit to be moved for deep cleaning or kitchen reorganisation. Inside the sealed cooling circuit, R290 refrigerant circulates without synthetic oils, so the freezer stays frost-free while using less energy than older models. Controls are simple: a thermostat sets the temperature between -24 °C and -18 °C, and an interior light comes on when the door opens. The voltage requirement of 220-240 V at 50 Hz matches the standard single-phase supply in British commercial kitchens. A 900 litre volume allows bulk storage of frozen ingredients, portioned meals or finished dishes. The temperature range of -24 °C to -18 °C covers the safe storage of meat, fish, vegetables, bakery and prepared foods. The 189 kg weight means the unit is moved by trolley or pallet jack, not lifted by hand. The footprint of 1340 mm wide, 700 mm deep and 2010 mm high fits through standard kitchen doorways and under worktop extractor hoods. Cleaning follows from the construction: the wire shelves lift out for washing, the stainless steel interior wipes clean with sanitiser, and the wheels allow the unit to be pulled away from the wall for access to the rear coils. The self-closing door reduces frost build-up, so defrosting is less frequent than with manual doors. The RF1010 is the standard 900 litre model in the TEFCOLD upright freezer range.
