Temperature mode +2/ +10 °C
A bar refrigerator built to chill bottles and cans without freezing them keeps drinks at serving temperature while the door is opened repeatedly. The TEFCOLD BC85 w/Fan circulates cold air with a fan behind the back panel, pulling heat from the interior and expelling it at the rear. This forced convection evens out the temperature across the shelves, so every can or bottle is cooled at the same rate, even when the unit is fully loaded. The fan also recovers the set temperature faster after the door is closed, reducing the energy needed to maintain the range between +2 and +10 °C.
The operator loads the drinks onto the three wire shelves, each sized to hold standard 330 ml or 500 ml cans and bottles. The shelves slide out for restocking and can be repositioned to fit taller bottles or stacked cases. A glass door lets staff check stock without opening the cabinet, cutting cold-air loss. Adjustable legs level the unit on uneven floors, keeping the door seal tight and the compressor running smoothly.
Inside, the evaporator coil and fan assembly run on R600a refrigerant, a hydrocarbon that cools efficiently at low charge weights. The compressor draws 0.165 kW from a 220-240 V, 50 Hz supply, a load that fits a standard UK single-phase circuit. The cabinet's 85 L net volume translates to a footprint of 503 mm wide, 567 mm deep and 775 mm high, small enough to tuck under a bar counter or against a back wall. At 33 kg, the unit can be moved by two people without a trolley.
Three white wire shelves, each 410 mm by 353 mm, support the stock; the glass door is hinged on the right. Internal LED lighting illuminates the contents when the door is opened. The temperature control maintains the set point between +2 and +10 °C, the range that keeps soft drinks carbonated and beer at cellar temperature without freezing.
Cleaning follows the parts named: the wire shelves lift out for washing, the glass door wipes with a damp cloth, and the fan grille at the back is brushed to remove dust that would slow the airflow. The adjustable legs are checked periodically to keep the cabinet level and the door seal effective.
