Professional bar refrigerator for storing beverages and chilled products, featuring ventilated cooling and electronic temperature control. The stainless steel worktop, adjustable shelves and LED lighting ensure convenient use in professional environments.
A bar refrigerator keeps drinks and chilled goods at serving temperature without ice or manual cooling. It uses a compressor to circulate refrigerant through coils, pulling heat from the interior and releasing it outside. The insulated cabinet slows heat transfer, while a fan spreads cold air evenly across every shelf. This method holds a steady temperature regardless of how often the doors open, making it essential for bars, cafés and restaurants where speed and consistency matter.
The FAGOR RBBC-2 is a double-door under-counter unit designed for front-of-house use. The operator loads bottles and cans onto adjustable wire shelves, sets the desired temperature between 0 and 8 °C on the digital display, and leaves the refrigerator to maintain the climate. An off-cycle defrost system stops the compressor periodically; any frost that forms melts and evaporates automatically, so no manual draining is needed. The doors close on their own if left ajar, reducing cold-air loss.
The interior is lined with grey-coated steel and the exterior with black-coated steel, both easy to wipe clean. A 50 mm layer of high-density polyurethane insulation minimises energy use. The top work surface is solid stainless steel, resistant to spills and knocks. Doors have magnetic seals that can be removed for washing, and integrated handles designed to collect less dust. A lock is fitted for security.
Inside, LED lighting runs vertically along the door frame, illuminating the contents without adding heat. Shelves are height-adjustable and rated for 40 kg each. A front panel opens to give access to the compressor and other components for servicing. The ventilation grille allows the unit to be built into cabinetry while still drawing air for cooling.
The 251 L capacity provides space for multiple crates of drinks. The 220-240 V single-phase supply plugs into a standard UK kitchen circuit. The 88 kg weight means two people can move it without a trolley. Climate Class 4 certification confirms the refrigerator operates reliably in ambient temperatures up to 40 °C, typical of busy bar environments.
Cleaning involves wiping the interior and exterior with a damp cloth, removing and washing the door seals, and vacuuming the ventilation grille to keep airflow unobstructed. Shelves lift out for thorough cleaning.
A 60 Hz version with refrigerant R600a is available as a separate article.
