A top-loading bar refrigerator keeps bottles and cans chilled at serving temperature without taking floor space from the bar counter. Cold air settles naturally in the cabinet; the static evaporator draws heat through aluminium fins and copper tubing, maintaining a steady +2 to +6 °C even when the room reaches +38 °C. Because there is no fan, the unit runs quietly and uses less power than forced-air models, making it suited to continuous service in bars, restaurants and cafés.

Loading is done from above: stainless-steel sliding doors open to reveal vertical wire dividers that organise bottles by size and type. The operator sets the analogue thermostat to the desired temperature, then simply lifts the doors to add or remove stock. The doors slide smoothly on their tracks and lock in the open position, leaving both hands free to handle bottles.

The cabinet is built entirely of stainless steel, inside and out, for durability under daily use. High-density polyurethane insulation, free of CFCs, minimises cold loss and keeps the interior temperature stable. The evaporator coils are mounted at the front right, with a removable panel for easy access during cleaning or maintenance. A front ventilation grille allows the refrigerator to be built into cabinetry without blocking airflow.

Adjustable stainless-steel legs let the unit sit level on uneven floors, from 65 to 88 mm in height. Inside, rounded corners and a drainage outlet simplify cleaning, while the wire shelves can be repositioned or removed to accommodate larger items. The 223-litre volume provides ample storage for bottles and cans, and the 56 kg weight allows two staff to move the unit without equipment.

The TLC-2 SS operates on a 220-240 V single-phase supply at 50 Hz, drawing 0.105 kW. It uses refrigerant R600a, a hydrocarbon with low environmental impact. A 60 Hz version is available as a separate article.

Cleaning involves wiping the interior with a damp cloth and mild detergent, then rinsing and drying. The drainage outlet should be checked regularly to prevent blockages. The front panel can be removed for deeper servicing, and the evaporator coils should be kept free of dust to maintain efficiency.

The refrigerator is classified as Climate Class 4, meaning it is designed to perform reliably in ambient temperatures up to +38 °C.
